Meet my photographer

Your agent shouldn't be using cell phone pictures to market your property!

Rincon Valley homeowners, don't settle for cell phone pictures when selling your home.  Hire a broker who uses professionals to do marketing photography.

Meet Will Bucquoy.
Will owns WB Photography in Santa Rosa.
Will does a variety of photo jobs but is known for:
  • Special events
  • Family portraits
  • Media photography
  • Commercial promotions/events

I met Will at the Sonoma County Fair in 2016.  Gwen and I were at a benefit on Hat Day.  Will had been hired to photograph the event, and took this outstanding photo of Gwen and I at the track.

The next year (2017) Gwen and I went to the Sonoma County Fair again during Hat Day, and of course, we saw Will.  We introduced ourselves, and told him how much we liked the previous years pictures, and asked if he'd take another shot of us...

Jim and Gwen turned it up a notch for this years Hat Day

It's hard to not like a photographer that can make those hats look good.  A few weeks later I reached out to Will and asked if he'd be interested in taking real estate marketing photos.  He agreed.  I have been very happy.  Our first project was my listing at 5832 Owl Hill in Rincon Valley's Skyhawk neighborhood.  This is a million dollar neighborhood, and I knew pictures were going to be important to my clients.  Lets start of with this one...

Most people look at a nice photo and don't give it a second thought, but a bad photo jumps out at you.  When I go back and look at the original pictures I took of the listings I've hired Will to shoot, I see  that my photo's don't compare.  My photos lack white balance, perspective, large rooms can't be captured with one picture, and they look dark and cold.  Here are some other pictures Will has taken for me:

Using proper camera settings makes a large room look warm and inviting

Using the correct camera lens can open up a tight room
Capturing this peninsula fireplace was tricky, but Will found the right angle

The point here is, a picture is worth 1,000 words.  Don't settle for marketing your home with photos taken from your agent's cell phone, or portable camera.   When you are paying thousands of dollars to somebody to market your home, demand professional photographs.  Your broker should be using these high quality photos in print advertising such as your brochures, Homes and Land magazine.  High resolution photos are also used on blogs, property website, and on the MLS.  There is no place for cell phone photographs in real estate marketing.
