Hiking through wildflowers at McCormick Addition Sugarloaf SP

Join this guided tour of Rincon Valley's most beautiful and undeveloped open spaces in the Mayacama Mountains.  Hike begins at Sugarloaf State Park at 8:45.  Hikers will be shuttled to Hood Mountain Regional Park (Los Alamos parking lot), then hike 11 miles through the McCormick Addition of Sugarloaf SP, through the headwaters of Sonoma and Santa Rosa Creeks, returning to Sugarloaf day use area where hikers will enjoy a BBQ meal and stories.  Breaks and snacks will be provide along the way.  

When: Saturday April 28th 8:45 - 5pm
Where: begins at Sugarloaf
             Shuttle to Los Alamos
             Hike to Sugarloaf

Distance:  11 mi +/-
Elevation: 2800'
Cost: $45 general
