Kid's playground and picnic area

One of the highlights of Santa Rosa is the Rincon Valley Community Park. It's located on Montecito Blvd near Calistoga Rd., and takes up about one city block. It shares a parking lot with one of Sonoma County's newer public libraries, the Rincon Valley Branch of the Sonoma County Library system. About 200 yards east is Rincon Valley's newer Maria Carrillo High School.

No matter where you are in the Rincon Valley Community Park, there are beautiful views of the local hills.
Beautiful hill are the backdrop for this quality ball field

There is ample parking on either side of the park, and there is a walk in entrance for local neighbors. On the south side is one of the best public ball fields. Although there is minimal bleacher seating, there is ample lush green lawn to spread out on. The infield is well kept, and it is a pleasure to play on.

In the middle of the park is one of the best dog parks in Sonoma County. It is divided by fences into 2 sections. The largest section is mostly lawn with plenty of lawn furniture for the dog's people to sit in. This is a great dog park!

There is an adequate kids area with play equipment, sand, swings, and the usual climbing equipment and slides.

Large flat lawns are perfect for group activities and games
To me, the highlight of this park is it's expansive, open, and well manicured lawn. Perfect for soccer, Frisbee, kite flying, or whatever you feel like doing. The fields are designed to not feel like playing fields. They are not square or rectangular however the shapes can be made using your own border material such as cones.  There are 3 distinct fields that are separated by groves of trees making the park really feel more like a neighborhood open area rather than an official playing field.

There is also a shaded picnic area with another pond.

This is a great park to spend a few hours or an afternoon,  It is easily accessible, wheelchair friendly and rarely crowded.

I love living in Rincon Valley!  I've lived here since 1995 and can't imagine living in a better North Bay community.  Call me today if you're interested in buying a home in Rincon Valley, or if you'd like to list your Rincon Valley home for sale.
